Thanksgiving (remember that?)

This fall has flown by so quickly that it really seems like Thanksgiving just happened. I had the pleasure of hosting my lovely family this year, and I have to say everything was pretty darned perfect. I ordered a fresh, organic, Amish turkey, brined it in all manner of delicious spices, and I have to say it was the best turkey I've ever had--and even better, my guests agreed.

Sadly, all of the cooking on my part left very little time or forethought to take pictures, which is a shame because my darling husband has given me a fancy new camera for and early Christmas present. It's a big girl camera with lenses and intimidating directions, but I'm learning and loving it.

I did grab one shot of the turkey after my triumphant carving job, and some random table and buffet shots. I hope that your day was as delicious and relaxed as ours was.

I'm so jealous! I can't wait to get my own big-girl camera someday. :)
